You’re not alone. Young. Old. Gay. Straight. Millions of men suffer from the inability to get and keep an erection. Way back in 1979, when people weren’t talking about erectile dysfunction, 42% of men admitted to experiencing some erectile problems. (The Kinsey Data: Marginal Tabulations of the 1938–1963 Interviews Conducted by the Institute for Sex Research, Paul Gebhard and Alan Johnson, 1979)
All the time, some of the time, or every now and then, being unable to perform is more than an ego killer, it becomes a relationship issue, too. Whether you blame yourself, or whether your partner feels the responsibility, someone feels guilty or unattractive; someone feels unmanly or unwomanly.
Both of you probably feel unsexy. We can address that.

We’ll show you how to address these lifestyle factors so you can enjoy having sex again. As a matter of fact, you might not even miss some of these bad habits if you’re regularly enjoying sex again.
Diagnosing the problem:
We’ll take a full medical history. We are going to ask you some personal questions and we need to take a good look at you. We’re going to take some blood and some urine, too, to quickly determine whether the issue is primarily genitourinary, endocrine, or vascular in origin.
Addressing the problem:
- Lifestyle change: Excessive alcohol consumption, recreational drug use, and smoking are major causes of erectile dysfunction.
- Rx: Often, the problem can be corrected with prescription drugs or hormone replacement therapy or penile pumps.
- Surgery: Anatomical abnormalities such as Peyronie’s disease can be surgically reversed. And vascular surgery, or penile microsurgical re-vascularization, can relieve blockages on the rarer occasions that they’re the cause of ED.
- Other options: There are many more options to treat ED, including injections, suppositories or penile implants.
