Yamane A. Makke, MD is an assistant professor of Neurology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is board-certified in Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. His clinical epilepsy interests include medically refractory epilepsy, autoimmune epilepsy, and non-epileptic spells.
Dr. Makke earned both his B.S. and his medical degree (2010) at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He then spent 3 years as postdoctoral research fellow in epilepsy at the American University of Beirut (2010-2013). He completed his neurology residency at the George Washington University in 2017. He then pursued an epilepsy fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (2017-2018), then a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology/EEG at Vanderbilt University, Nashville Tennessee (2018-2019).
Dr. Makke is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
