H. Nida Sen, MD, MHS

H. Nida Sen, MD, MHSc is board-certified in ophthalmology and an associate professor at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr. Sen attended medical school at the Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Turkey and completed her residency at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences with multiple awards and honors. She continued to complete a fellowship at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Sen has been designing and managing clinical trials in the field of ocular immunology and uveitis and is the principal investigator on a number of clinical trials that investigate new treatment modalities for uveitis and the mechanisms of inflammatory diseases of the eye that can be associated with Behcet's disease, sarcoidosis to juvenile idiopathic arthritis. She has received many awards for her research and achievements. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and many book chapters in prestigious text books. Dr. Sen is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Uveitis Society. She is dedicated to finding new and better treatments for inflammatory diseases of the eye.
